Extreme Makeover: Home Edition: Austin! 

As an Austin chiropractor, Dr. Richard donated his time and services at the request of the producers for the popular TV show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” – Austin. He was honored to be selected for this once in a lifetime opportunity to offer chiropractic care for the cast and crew. It was a monumental challenge to build a 4500 square foot house from it’s foundation in a one week period, but with 2000 people on set working together 24 hours a day the tall task was achieved. The O’ Donnell Family would have their dream house!

 The O’Donnell Family had become front page news in the Austin-Statesman newspaper for several days as the cast and crew of the ABC show came to Austin to award this family of six children, five of them autistic, the home of their dreams. Dr. Richard was on the set with his table and equipment on hand for any volunteer, crew member or volunteer builder that needed an adjustment because of long hours trying to build a house in less than a week. As you can imagine, Dr. Richard’s services were dearly needed.
